High Summer

oxbastetxoEverything is a gearing up for High Summer. I'm still a little lost on what exactly is being celebrated, but it's a big thing here with the family. The house and gardens are all decorated and the kids can't stop talking about presents. Apparently, they are hidden out in the garden and it's their job to find them all, but the presents are for everyone, each is marked for who it belongs to.
I've never really celebrated a holiday of any sort before, so all of this is very new. Darien says that Kandar has several holidays in a year and most observe all of them.
This will be Jalan and my first holiday of any kind.
